Has it really been six years since my last confession? I mean…my last post? Wow.
So… A fellow named Charlie contacted me a while back, asking if I’d be willing to answer some questions for an article he was writing. He was going to be looking at early 2000s fansites and blogging, specifically regarding Nina, and I told him hell yes, I’d gladly participate! The article was completed recently, so I present to you Blogging Utopia: On digital diva worship and The Nina Hagen Electronic Shrine. It’s an interesting examination of old-school fan blogging, discovering Nina in the YouTube age, what diva worship means to queer folks, and what fan blogging looks like now. Enjoy!!
